Research Essay 1st Draft Checklist

First Draft Checklist:

1.       MLA format: Times New Roman: 12 size font: 1 in margins: double
      spaced

 

2.        Length of the essay – it should be at least 2 pages (650 words)
       NOT including the Works Cited Page

 

3.       Introduction -  Hook (e.g. anecdote; famous person;series of question
                                          A shocking fact) + bridge + thesis 

 

4.       Thesis – clear and organized

 

5.       Citations – two per paragraph from two different sources!

 

6.       Works Cited Page – This MUST match the citations in your essay~
