Research Essay Final Draft Checklist
Check before turning in:
¾ Does your paper meet the level 6 (A+) requirements above or is it closer to the minimum level 2 (D-) requirements.
¾ 3 ¼ pages without extra space between paragraphs or between the heading and the title and the introduction.
¾ Proper heading, 1 inch margins, title centered and in same font and size, 12 point Times-New-Roman font, header in top right corner.
¾ Good thesis at the end of first paragraph, that is arguable (someone can say “I think you’re wrong” and it cannot be a question)
¾ Good topic sentences
¾ No use of first or second person pronouns like I, me, we, us, our, you, your, mine, etc.
¾ Paragraphs that support its topic sentence with concrete details and commentary
¾ Works Cited page has all correct information and is properly formatted
¾ Two different parenthetical references per paragraph
¾ YOUR OWN WORDS UNLESS QUOTATION MARKS ARE USED
¾ Strong introduction and conclusion
